Is Christianity Dying?

There are those who declare that Christianity is dying and then, there are those who claim that Christians are at best, hypocrites, confused, traditional, simple or have backslidden.    All of this may be true, as every Christian has been given the free will and the choice to do as one pleases with the knowledge or experience of the Bible and Christ.  Yet, in my limited years of trying to make sense of life and my own path of seeking the truth, I have also known many other seekers, pilgrims through life, also trying to make sense of the pain of life and find hope in a 'real' God who delivers on His promises.  I can only speak based on my own experience of trying to seek and find something real. I have found the following to be true in my own life:  For me, religion as a framework alone cannot help - I have found it to be boring, cumbersome and tedious, not to mention depressing. Pilgrims in Conversation

Few Zoom meetings are interesting, some are downright awkward and others are terribly boring. However, today I had the pleasure of meeting people of different age groups, nationalities and cultures - the only commonality was a sense of purpose and mission in this short life. A meeting that was scheduled for an hour flowed effortlessly into two and a half hours and wisdom and insight poured in from all sides.  The instruction was to bring an item that represented the individual and to speak about it - and No! it was not one of those ice breaker exercises that makes you wonder what you were even doing there! - this one was genuine.  From paint brushes representing the season in a life, where God was in charge and the individual made the effort to let Him paint her/his life instead of their own strokes, to a bottle of essential oil representing the potential of a life to give out the fragrance of Christ in him/her wherever planted, this session was proving to be very insightful and meanin
